Monday was my third birthday. Mommy said I'm actually 21 in dog years. I had a lovely birthday weekend, though Daddy thinks one day for a birthday is enough and he doesn't subscribe to birthday weekends, weeks or months.
On Friday, Mommy showed up early from work. She said her boss let the office get out early on Friday, so she surprised us by coming home early. We went out and helped her with the pool and the flowers, and Lucas and I ate dried grass crackers off the lawn- though that makes Mommy yell at us.
On Friday night, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We enjoyed the ride over to the farm and we got to meet a member of the family from San Diego that doesn't make it to NH very often. She seemed to like us, so we liked her. Mommy said we were on our worst behavior. We begged doggy treats off Grandma. We tried to sneak upstairs to investigate. Lucas pooped by the grill, and then tried to eat it. We jumped on the couch. Mommy told us Gramdma would never invite us back ever again.
But on Saturday, after we helped with the yard work and planting flowers, Grandma called again and asked us over to meet more people from California. One lady owned her own Boston Terrier. Mommy said we didn't act much better on this trip. She kept telling us to get off the couch and get out of people's faces.
And on my actual birthday, Mommy painted my nails pink with my OPI poodle pink pawlish. Mommy and Daddy had the day off just to celebrate my birthday. I got a new blue toy to replace the one that Lucas had wrecked from Easter. And I got a can of Merrick dog food in the Brauts and Tots flavor, and a whole new jug of chicken poppers. I also got a lamb bone that Mommy says some day I can chew it all by myself in my crate so Lucas won't bother me. And Mommy got me some pear and apple handmade doggy treats from Charlie's Paw Wash. And on Monday night, we all went to the Concord dog park. We played with a small Cockapoodle named Simba and then later Lucas played with a big dog named Lola.
What an exhausting birthday weekend!

Well - I'm so glad to see some blogging! What a wonderful birthday you had.... Don't listen to Mommy and Daddy - they have no idea that Birthdays are supposed to last a full year and that on your very special weekend... Grammy's don't care if you jump on the furniture!
Glad to see you!
Jacinda
